I’m down at my mums for Christmas at the moment, the net is really slow and their laptop is missing the K key so I have to push it really hard. Other than that, not much is happening. I cried at the airport because I was leaving my partner behind. That really sucked. I’m here for a month, it’s so long but with the Internet and my blog I’m sure I can do it. The weather isnt to bad, but compared to home its rather cold. I sleep in panties at home and here I kinda need track pants lol.

My sister is doing her exams at the moment, so tomorrow night she is having an after exams party god help me.  I’ll be surrounded by young people who cant handle their alcohol. Not much else is happening. I’m heading off to the beach tomorrow so that will be cool, but I’m sure the water will be freezing!

Yesterday the weather was great, and my boy and I decided it would be a perfect day for the beach!
So we chucked on our swimming gear, packed the car and headed off.
Although we live 5mins walk to the beach, we choose to go somewhere different for a change. The drive was just wonderful!

Once we got to the beach we striped down and lay on the sand for a while. Finally we got the courage to get into the water, it was amazing, just really really warm!

We had been swimming for about 15 - 20mins having heaps of fun, playing around just being a little naughty, when I suddenly felt this unbelievable pain shoot up my arm! I looked down into the water and saw a blue bottle jelly fish! I had been stung by a bloody JELLY FISH!!! I yelled out to my boy “Honey I just got stung by a jelly!” My bottom lip started to drop and shake. He though I was kidding around. He replied “Are you serious?” By that stage I was crying like a bitch.

So here we are running out of the water, me crying and freaking out with no idea what to do.
We had no idea what kind of Jelly fish it was at the time, but we knew we had to get it looked at in case it was bad. My arm swelled up in a funny pattern, the pattern of the stinger. Lucky I didn’t have any of its tentacles still on my arm, that would have freaked me out even more.
Not knowing where to go, we jumped in the car and drove half way out of town looking for a docs or something. Being a Sunday of course nothing was open:(

So back into town we went, trying to work out what would be open. Then I remembered the surf club!
I ran into what I though was the Surf Life Savers Club, leaving my partner in the car trying to find somewhere to park. Here I was, in my tiny bikini about to run into what was actually a bar/restaurant for the Surf Club!)
I stood at the bottom of the stairs in pain wondering if I should walk up the stairs for help. Of course I did in the end! I had no choice! I walked to the bar and got some very weird looks. I was so sure they where going to tell me to leave. So before anyone could say anything I piped up, “Excuse me can someone help me? I’ve just been stung by a jelly fish”. A lovely man behind the bar came to my aid as soon as he heard. He dragged me behind the bar and poured freezing cold water over my arm, the pain wasn’t going away! So then he took me into the bar, it was full of men! All these men and lil’ me in an Aqua bikini.

Although at the time I was only thinking about the pain, I look back now and realize that they where really only trying to help me as I was virtually half naked in their bar
Anyway, so the nice gentleman that took me behind the bar found the man he was looking for, they got a big bag of ice and sat me on a chair and told me to keep the ice on it. Whilst sitting in the chair I realized I hadn’t told my partner where to find me!

I sat in the club/restaurant for about 1/2hr, whilst getting all sorts of men making sure I was ok, trying to tell me how to stop the pain ect. I thanked the man and left the surf club, taking their ice with me Once I had got to the car it was locked and my feet where burning from the hot tar! I walked around for a while looking for my boy. Then after about 10mins I saw him walking out of the surf club. Poor boy, he didn’t have any idea where I was, he was scared that I may have passed out somewhere When he was looking for me he went down the beach to the Life Savers tent and apparently there where heaps of little kids with huge stings on their bellies and bodies.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones to only have an itsy bitsy sting on my arm…
